Sook, the proptech innovator reinventing how retail space is used, announced its partnership with Mall of Africa (MoA), a premier retail destination in South Africa. The collaboration opens doors for brands to lease Sook’s rentable space within the MoA’s complex in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The announcement marks a series of exciting milestones for Sook, representing the company’s debut into international markets and its first license agreement. The lease is secured for a minimum of five years, during which Sook commits to providing on-going assistance in revenue generation and technical support to ensure the success of the new space at MoA. This strategic partnership reflects the growing demand for innovative retail spaces like Sook. With a 0.7% increase in retail sales in June, it is evident that the demand for in-person shopping experiences is on the rise. Through the MoA agreement, Sook is poised to cater to the growing appetite in the retail and real estate markets of the continent of Africa.
