The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has officially approved the establishment of the UAE Chapter, marking a significant milestone in the region’s real estate management landscape. Announced at the IREM Global Summit 2024 in Indianapolis, this development is set to elevate professional standards and provide enhanced resources for real estate professionals across the UAE.
The UAE Chapter joins a distinguished group of IREM chapters around the world, including those in Japan, Canada, the US and South Africa. This initiative will grant UAE professionals unparalleled access to IREM’s global resources, such as prestigious certification programs, educational opportunities, and an extensive network of industry leaders.
“This is a monumental moment for the real estate management profession in the UAE,” said Muhammad Jawad, a prominent figure in the UAE’s real estate sector. “The approval of the UAE Chapter not only strengthens our regional network but also brings global best practices closer to local professionals. Our focus will be on fostering education, innovation, and ethical leadership across the industry.”
The newly-formed chapter aims to raise the standards of property management in the UAE by offering industry-leading certifications such as the Certified Property Manager® (CPM®), Accredited Commercial Manager® (ACoM®), and Accredited Residential Manager® (ARM®) designations. These credentials are expected to enhance the skills and knowledge of real estate professionals, benefiting the property management sector throughout the region.
