Turner & Townsend Appoints New Head of Infrastructure in UAE

Marc Fooks will lead Turner & Townsend’s UAE infrastructure segment, where he will drive business growth through service excellence and digitally enabled solutions, to enhance and transform performance across major UAE infrastructure programmes.

He will drive performance through best-in-class processes and systems, which will be underpinned by industry-leading training, technical assurance, and Turner & Townsend’s market-leading advisory offering.

A director with Turner & Townsend’s UAE business, Marc has over 30 years of experience in the industry. Over the last nine years, he has maintained a track record of delivering significant added value to clients across the UAE.

In his new role, Marc’s key objective is to drive productivity and success on infrastructure projects that aim to connect people and places across the UAE. With a focus on transportation and the delivery of sustainable infrastructure, Marc will help continue the growth of Turner & Townsend’s in-country infrastructure
segment.

Commenting on his promotion, Marc said: “I am excited about the new role to lead the development and growth of our infrastructure team in the UAE and align our delivery to our core vision of developing a green, inclusive, and productive environment. Putting the development of our people at the foref ront our strategy will help ensure that we continue to support our clients in some of the most complex and high-profile schemes in the UAE.”

Marc expands: “Driven by the country’s growing population,demand for urban transport, and need to diversify its energy sector into renewable sources, the UAE government has introduced a development agenda that looks to grow itsrenewables and clean energy portfolio, and drive rail and road development across the country.

“The commencement of rail passenger services in the UAE offers a fantastic opportunity to cement our position as a trusted advisor to our clients. Vision 2030 and the hosting of COP28, will facilitate the delivery of infrastructure investments to support economic diversification, and help the drive towards a sustainable, inclusive economy.

“Working with our clients across the public and private sector, our focus is to ensure new infrastructure projects provide our clients with a return on their investments and are delivered in line with the government’s low carbon energy agenda.”
