Global PropTech company Sharry has unveiled the first intelligent building in Spain that uses its smart office technology. Called Smart, it is part of a complex in the Spanish city of Barcelona’s business and technology district, 22@.
Developed by Meridia Capital and designed by GCA, Smart offers approximately 25,000 square metres of office space in three separate buildings connected by extensive green areas. It also features a rooftop terrace, common areas, and amenities promoting a sense of community and a completely sustainable design. Smart boasts Leed Platinum and Well Platinum certifications.
Sharry has digitised access, parking management, and visitor experience at the building. All features are accessible in a white-labelled mobile application developed by Sharry, whose software is already used by skyscrapers in New York City, including the iconic Vanderbilt high-rise in Manhattan.
Users can use Sharry’s technology to access the space of all three buildings by unlocking turnstiles and doors with their smartphones. Additionally, they will be a few clicks away from reserving a parking spot or a meeting room. The Smart mobile application also streamlines visitor management as occupants can quickly generate a QR code for invited guests, thus replacing a visitor badge. Hosts can also book a parking spot for their guests, or send them a link for online booking.
“We are thrilled that Sharry now has a presence on the Spanish market, and it is especially significant with Smart since the building is the first integrated building in Spain at this level,” said David Hartl, head of sales and development at Sharry. “We are very excited that we have been able to be a part of this innovative project.”
