The latest edition of the Gulf Sustainability Awards was held on the 20th of September, 2021, in Dubai. With sustainability and conscious adoption of efficient practices becoming the norm in the region, the event was a celebration of organisations implementing best practices in the Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) space. Dake-Rechsand, a Dubai based company that specialises in sustainable solutions for water conservation and desert farming won the gold award for Innovation in Sustainable Technologies.
They won the award for their low cost breathable sand products using their proprietary technology.
Hosted by Awards International, the Gulf Sustainability Awards 2021 recognised achievements by individuals and organizations under 14 categories. These notably included environmental sustainability programmes, sustainability awareness, community development and water or waste management.
